Prof. Takuzo Aida
Dr. Takuzo Aida was born in 1956. He received his B.S. degree in Physical Chemistry from Yokohama National University in 1979 and Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Tokyo in 1984. He then began his academic career at the University of Tokyo and developed precision polymer synthesis with metalloporphyrin complexes. In 1996, he was promoted to Full Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo. His research interests include (1) electronic and optoelectronic soft materials, (2) bioinspired dendritic macromolecules, (3) molecular and biomolecular machines, and (4) biorelated molecular recognition and catalysis. He is now the project director for the ERATO-SORST program, and also serving as the director for Riken Advanced Science Institute. He has received many awards including, as recent examples, American Chemical Society Award in Polymer Chemistry and Chemical Society of Japan Award in 2009.
Prof. Husam N. Alshareef
Prof. Husam Alshareef obtained his PhD at North Carolina State University, USA, in 1996. Following a post-doctoral appointment at Sandia National Laboratory, he embarked on a career in the semiconductor industry, holding positions at Micron Technology and Texas Instruments, Inc. There he worked on developing new materials and fabrication processes for integrated circuit applications. In 2009 he joined KAUST, where he initiated an active research group focusing on emerging electronics and on energy harvesting and storage. The author of more than 250 articles, he has 60 issued patents. He has won the UNDP Undergraduate Fellowship, Seth Sprague Physics Award, NC State Dean’s Fellowship, U.S. Department of Education Electronic Materials Fellowship, and the SEMATECH Corporate Excellence Award. He served as Associate Editor for the J. of Electronic Materials, and is currently Editor-in-Chief for the Springer’s new journal Materials for Renewable & Sustainable Energy, and a senior member of IEEE. He is co-Chair of the Fall 2014 Materials Research Society (MRS) Meeting, and is a member of MRS New Meeting Subcommittee. His students at KAUST won the Dow Sustainability Award, three Academic Excellence Awards, Intel ISEF Award, and SABIC’s Plastic Electronics Innovation Award, and multiple Best Poster awards. His research has been featured in several media outlets.
Dr. Naveed Anwar
Dr. Naveed Anwar is the Executive Director of AIT Consulting and serves on its Advisory and Technical Board of Directors. Dr. Naveed also oversees the Asian Center for Engineering Computations and Software (ACECOMS) as Director and continues to teach structural engineering at the School of Engineering and Technology, both situated at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).
Since 2010, Dr. Naveed has been responsible for the establishment and consistent growth of AIT Consulting marked by providing specialized services in technology, engineering, environment, development and management across a spectrum of private, public, and not-for-profit sectors in all regions. While steering AIT Consulting's commitment to nimble, high-quality solutions, Dr. Naveed is recognized for numerous honors and awards for his 30-year contribution to the field of structural engineering specifically in areas spanning the design and analysis of tall buildings, bridges and special structures, computational mechanics and the development of software for engineering applications.
As Director of ACECOMS, Dr. Naveed has thirty years of extensive experience in development of software, use of computers in engineering application, and computer programming. He is author of several programs which include ACECOMS GEAR, The SDL-1 Series, SYS DESIGNER, Frame2DX, BUILDCOST, BridgePad and main author of several user manuals and technical documentation for engineering software such as BATS 99 and BATS 2000, NichadaCAD, MonierCAD, CSIDetailer, CSISection Builder, RISA Section, CSICOL.
Dr. Naveed has been invited to participate as keynote speaker in 120 seminars and workshops, conducted in 15 countries, and attended by a combined total of 4,000 engineers from 25 countries.
He has numerous research publications in the fields of Structural Engineering, Computational Mechanics, Earthquake Engineering, Performance Based Design, Modeling and Analysis of Bridges, Tall Buildings and special structures such as Tall Stack and Masonry Structures. Dr. Naveed has also co-authored over 50 workshops presentations, covering a wide range of topics such as structural modeling and analysis, concrete design, steel design, and software development research methodology.
Dr. Naveed Anwar has extensive experience in the conception, planning, analysis, design and detailing of multi-story buildings, bridges, water retaining structures, industrial buildings and special structures. He has worked on the structural design of over 800 different projects;
Dr. Naveed earned Doctoral and Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering at AIT and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, Pakistan.
Dr. Paritud Bhandhubanyong
Dr. Paritud Bhandhubanyong spent a long period of his career as a researcher, instructor, and consultant before taking up responsibility as a middle and top management of an R&D organization. He received D.Eng. in Metallurgy from the University of Tokyo in 1983 after obtaining B.Eng. (1975) M.Eng. (1979) in Industrial from Chulalongkorn University and MBA.(1979) from Thammasart University. He was an instructor in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Head of Department of Metallurgical Engineering, and Associate Dean for Planning at Chulalongkorn University. Then he was selected to Director post at the National Metal and Materials Technology Center since 1999.
Prof. Joydeep Dutta
Prof. Joydeep Dutta is currently Vice President (Academic Affairs), Director of the Center of Excellence in Nanotechnology and a professor in Nanotechnology at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand, whose faculty he joined in April 2003. He completed his Ph.D in 1990 from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, India (Calcutta University) followed by a post doctoral position at the Electrotechnical Laboratory (ETL, Japan) and at Ecole Polytechnique (France) before moving to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland until 2003. His broad research interests include nanomaterials in nanotechnology, self-organization, Microelectronic devices, nanoparticles and its applications in electronics and biology. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Nanotechnology (IoN) and the Society of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (SNN), Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA, founding member of the Thailand Nanotechnology Society, and member of several professional bodies including Materials Research Society (MRS), USA, American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS), USA, Society of Industry Leaders, USA, Gerson Lehrman Group Council, USA, Asia-Pacific Nanotechnology Forum (APNF), Australia, The NanoTechnology Group Inc., USA, UK Futurists Network, United Kingdom, The Science Advisory Board, US amongst others. He has served to review projects of various scientific organizations of different countries and has organized a few international conferences and served as a member in several others.
Prof.Dutta is an award winning author (Choice award for Outstanding Academic title of 2010 from American Library Association) of the book “Fundamentals of Nanotechnology”. He has also written two other text books entitled “Introduction to Nanoscience” and “Introduction to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology” (CRC Press of Taylor and Francis Group LLC). Prof. Dutta has over 200 research publications, with more than 950 citations(h-index 19), 9 chapters in Science & Technology reference books, 5 patents (9 ongoing applications) and has delivered over 60 invited and keynote lectures.
He is in the editorial board of the Journal of Bionanoscience (American Scientific Publishers), Nanoscience & Nanotechnology-ASIA (Bentham) and regularly referees articles in international journals.
Dr. Raju Kumar Gupta
Department of Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India
Dr. Raju Kumar Gupta is currently Assistant Professor in Department of Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. He earned his doctorate at Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, National University of Singapore in 2010. Later, he joined as research fellow at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Dr. Gupta’s research interests focus on the covalent assembly, surface modification, synthesis and characterization of multifunctional nanoparticles/nanofibers and their hybrid polymeric nanostructures for energy and environmental applications. Recently, he has developed graft copolymerization based technique in order to obtain functional cellulosic polymers from waste biomaterials such as natural cellulosic polymers which can find potential applications in packaging and bioplastics industries. Currently, his research focuses on synthesis of quantum dots utilizing greener route for photocatalysis and solar energy applications; synthesis of water soluble photoluminescent carbon nanodots from “bio-waste” and developing their metal oxide hybrid nanostructures for supercapacitor applications. He is also looking into synthesis of metal oxides nanofibers using electrospinning technique and their utilization as electrode materials for high energy/power density supercapacitor applications. He is recipient of several fellowships and awards such as IEI Young Engineer Award (2014-15) and DST Inspire Faculty Award 2013.
Dr. Pussana Hirunsit
Dr. Pussana Hirunsit is a researcher at National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) in Thailand, where she has been since 2012. She received a B.E. of chemical engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand in 2001. She received a M.S and her Ph.D of Chemical engineering from Texas A&M University, US in 2010. After that, she was a postdoctoral appointee at Center of nanoscale materials at Argonne National Laboratory, US. Then, she joined NANOTEC as a researcher in nanoscale simulation group. In 2013, she was a research fellow at Research Center for Computational Science, Institute for Molecular Science in Japan, and received Thailand research funding for young researcher.
Dr. Pussana research interest focuses on applying the first principle calculation to determine structural, kinetics, thermodynamics and electronic properties of nanostructured materials and heterogeneous catalysis at atomic scale leading to the development of novel catalytic and energy-related nanostructured materials particularly metal, metal oxides and carbon based materials that are designed to tailor properties.
Prof. Young Hee Lee
Prof. Young Hee Lee received his PhD in Physics from Kent State University in 1986. He was faculty of Physics at Chonbuk National University from 1986 to 2001. He joined Sungkyunkwan University in 2001, and is currently Director of Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics, and Professor of Energy Science and of Physics.
Prof Lee’s researches focus on understanding the fundamental properties of nanostructures in 0D, 1D and 2D and their hybrid heterostructures, design and synthesis of various heterostructures to implement unique physical and chemical properties. His research covers carrier dynamics, carrier multiplication phenomena, hot carrier solar cell, thermoelectrics, quantum mechanical tunneling phenomena, and nanocarbon-based soft electronics. His pioneering works on synthesis and engineering of electronic and atomic structures of carbon nanotubes and grapheme, other 2D materials and their applications to field emission displays, electronic devices, and energy harvesting have led not only nanoscience but also nanotechnology industry in Korea. He has published more than 380 scientific papers in international journals and his total citation number exceeds over 17,000 times with h-index of 59.
Prof Lee received numerous awards including the Science Award from the Korean Physical Society, Lee Hsun Research Award from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Presidential Award in Science and Education, etc. He was also nominated as a National Scholar by the Ministry of Education in Korea. He is a Fellow of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology.
Prof. Ajay Kumar Mishra
Prof. Ajay Kumar Mishra is the associate professor of the department of Applied Chemistry, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Jiangsu University, China.
Prof. Mishra is Associate Professor of Nanotechnology and also a winner of awards such as AVI award 2009, IAAM Scientist award 2011 and also AML Medal winner for the year 2011. He is Adjunct Professor at Jiangsu University China and also a former Director of the Centre for Nanomaterials Science at University of Johannesburg. Prof. Mishra is Head of the Nanomaterials and Nanocomposite Group at the University of Johannesburg at Department of Applied Chemistry.
Dr. Somenath Roy
Dr. Somenath Roy is a Senior Scientist in the Sensor & Actuator Division of CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata, India. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India in 2004. Subsequently, he joined Swedish Sensor Center (S-SENCE), Linköping, Sweden as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. During 2005-2007, he worked as a Coordinator, Research Programs at Florida International University, Miami, USA. In January 2008, Dr. Roy joined Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN), Singapore and worked there until May 2012 as a Research Scientist in the Biosensors & Biodevices group. He has authored/co-authored 2 book chapters and about 50 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. In addition, he has been granted 1 US patent and 2 Indian patents and has filed 2 PCT and 1 Singapore patent.
Dr. Roy’s present research interest is focused on synthesis of nanostructured materials, surface functionalization and fabrication of micro-/nano-scale sensor platforms for ultrasensitive detection of chemical and bio-molecules.
Dr. Mohit Sharma
Dr. Mohit Sharma is working as Scientist at (A-Star) Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, Singapore. His current interests are on materials innovations technologies for aerospace, marine and offshore applications. He is actively participating in industry liaison programme for new commercialization of technology projects. Dr. Sharma has obtained his PhD in 2011 from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) in the area of advanced composites materials and tribology. He has worked as postdoctoral researcher at Institute of Lightweight Structures, (ILK) Technical University Dresden and Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research (IPF) Dresden, Germany in the area of hierarchical polymer matrix composite with nano-structured interphases. He has published 20 papers in peer reviewed International journals; contributed in three book chapter related to the area of advanced polymer composites. He has participated in reputed International conferences in United States and Singapore for oral presentations.
Dr. Sharma’s present research interest is focused on advanced nano-composites, bio-tribology, surface modifications/coating techniques, nano-structure interfaces, light weight structure, fiber reinforced composites, CNTs/graphene coatings, composites repair and recyclability, polymers, ceramics, bio-materials applications, sustainable green materials, aerospace, marine and offshore application, materials science.
Prof. Elias Siores
At the Institute for Materials Research and Innovation (IMRI), Prof Elias Siores recent R&D work concentrates on Smart / Functional Materials and Systems development. In this area, he has developed electromagnetic and piezo-elecric smart materials for applications ranging from Micro-power Re-generators and Energy Conversion Systems to Medical and Health Care Devices. His R&D work in the past concentrated on advancing the science and technology in the fields of: Non-Traditional Manufacturing Processes including Microwaves Plasmas, Abrasive Ice Jet and Solar Joining; Intelligent Manufacturing Systems including Real-Time Expert Systems and Artificial Neural Networks; and Automated Non-Destructive Testing and Evaluation including Ultrasound, Acoustic Emission, and Microwave Thermography. He has over 300 publications, 15 Keynote Addresses and 8 International Patents. Supervised successfully 32 PhD students. He also served on editorial board of various international journals and active reviewer of grand agencies and funding councils.

Prof. Hendrik C Swart
Prof. Hendrik C Swart is a B2 NRF rated researcher and currently a senior professor in the Department of Physics at the University of the Free State. Over the past 19 years he has led research in the area of the degradation of phosphors for field emission displays, as well as developing materials for nano solid state lighting. He has been key in the development of processes to synthesise and deposit thin films of various types of semiconductor nano-particles which will enhance the colour, luminescent intensity and lifetime of such displays. He has more than 270 publications in international peer reviewed journals, 40 peer reviewed conference proceedings and 3 book chapters and books with more than 1450 cited author references and more than 390 national and international conference contributions (authored and co-authored). He has an ISI H-index of 18 (rid=g-2696-2012). He is a reviewer for about 30 international and national professional journals in his field (or in related fields), and a member of the editorial board of the high impact factor journal ‘Critical Reviews in Solid State and Materials Sciences. He has received the South African National Science and Technology Forum (NSTF) award in 2009 for research capacity development of students in the niche area of nanophysics. His commitment to the next generation of scientists is also reflected by the awards he received from the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Free State, South Africa for excellence (2012), mentorship (2008) and for academic entrepreneurship (2009).
Prof. Swart received honorary membership of the Golden Key Association (2012). He was chair of national and international conferences. He has supervised 45 PhD and MSc students successfully in the past with another 16 in progress and has established a National Nano Surface Characterization Facility (NNSCF) containing state of the art surface characterization equipment. Interdisciplinary results obtained with these systems were recently selected for the cover of Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) Yeast research journal for 2013. A research chair in Solid State Luminescent and Advanced Materials was awarded to him from the South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARChI) at the end of 2012. The main focus of his research group will be the improvement of luminescent materials for applications in Flat Panel Displays and Solar Cells; the development of Organic light emitting diodes (OLED) materials as well as materials for power saving solid state lighting devices.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed is currently the Executive Director of Centre for Emerging Sciences, Engineering & Technology (CESET), Islamabad, Pakistan; Advisor on the Engineering Programs to the Higher Management of International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad, and the Principal Investigator of Islamic Development Bank’s Funded Advanced Electronics Laboratories International Project. He is also the former Dean of Faculty of Engineering & Technology at IIU, Islamabad. He is also Member Board of Governors, Indus University Karachi.
As guest scientist and visiting professor, Dr. Shuja maintained very close collaborative linkages with some of the world’s most renowned scientific facilities such as Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Department of Energy, USA; Lucent-Bell Labs, USA and Nano-electronic fabrication engineering facilities at MIT, KSU and Michigan, USA. Dr. Shuja also co-founded two companies in 2006 and 2012, which are now having presence in UK, USA and Pakistan. Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has also focused and highlighted Dr. Shuja’s contributions as an academic leader of Faculty of Engineering at International Islamic University in its official newsletter in February 2011. Dr. Shuja instituted and chaired three international conferences in Pakistan, one each in Microelectronics and Photonics (2007; Islamabad), Power Generation Systems and Renewable Energy Technologies (2010; Islamabad), and Sensing for Industries, Control, Communication, and Security Technologies (2013; Karachi). He is currently on the Editorial board of Journal of Nanosystems and Technology, Michigan, USA. With a track record of winning competitive projects funded both on national and international level and development of institutional academic infrastructure including the instructional and research laboratory facilities; Dr. Shuja has published numerous international research communications including the book chapters, indexed journal papers as well as peer-reviewed international conference proceedings.
Dr. Shuja is an active member of national S&T strategic committees/think tank and dedicated forums. He works in the broader area of Micro and Nanoelectronics/Nano-scale Semiconductor Process Engineering with a special focus on designing and fabrication of next generation electronic and photonic devices, sensors and micro-systems. Most of the work in public domain deals with the real-time applications of ion beam induced damages for applications in future electronic and photonic industry.
Prof. Jose Rajan
Professor Jose Rajan is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). He supervises the Nanostructured Renewable Energy Materials Laboratory in the UMP. He conducted his doctoral research at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Trivandrum, India and received PhD degree in the year 2002 for his work on nanostructured perovskite ceramics for microwave and superconducting electronics. He has worked at various capacities at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (India), AIST (Japan), Toyota Technological Institute (Japan), and the National University of Singapore (Singapore) before joining UMP. He has published over 100 papers in SCI journals which are cited nearly 2700 times. He holds over 20 patents nationally and internationally. His h-index is 29 and g-index is 50 currently. He is an editorial board member of the “Journal of Ceramics” “International Journal of Innovations in Electronic Engineering and System” and “International Journal of Nanoelectronics and Materials”. He sits at various policy making committees including Senate of the Universiti Malaysia Pahang and National Professors Council of Malaysia.
His research interests include nanostructured materials and renewable energy devices.
Prof. Mikael Syväjärv
Prof. Mikael Syväjärvi received a PhD degree in materials science from Linköping University, Sweden in 1999. His expertise is in materials growth and technologies of SiC, graphene and related materials. His scientific focus area is material for energy and environment. He initiated a European research collaboration in fluorescent and photovoltaic SiC, and has co-organized several symposiums at E-MRS. He has published more than 200 journal and conference papers. He is a co-inventor of The Cubic Sublimation Method for cubic SiC and the Fast Sublimation Growth Process that is applied for industrial development of fluorescent hexagonal SiC. He is also co-inventor of the High Temperature Graphene Process and a co-founder of Graphensic AB that manufactures and supplies graphene on SiC.
Prof. Ashutosh Tiwari
Prof. Ashutosh Tiwari is Associate Professor and Group Leader, Smart Materials and Biodevices at the world premier Biosensors and Bioelectronics Centre, Linköping University, Sweden; Editor-in-Chief, Advanced Materials Letters; Secretary General, International Association of Advanced Materials; a materials chemist and docent in the Applied Physics from Linköping University, Sweden. Prof. Tiwari is honoured as visiting professor at National Institute for Materials Science, Japan; guest Professor at University of Jinan, China; Adjunct Professor in the DCR University of Science and Technology, India; and Founder Director, Vinoba Bhave Research Institute, India. Just after completed his doctorate degree, he joined as young scientist at National Physical Laboratory, India and later moved to University of Wisconsin, USA for postdoctoral research. He is actively engaged as reviewer, editor and member of scientific bodies around the world.
Prof. Tiwari obtained various prestigious fellowships including Marie Curie, The European Commission; JSPS (regular and bridge fellow), Japan; and SSF & SI, Sweden. In his academic carrier, he has published over 350 articles, patents and conference proceedings in the field of materials science and technology. He edited/authored more than 25 books on the advanced state-of-the-art of materials science with several publishers. He becamethe book series editor of Advanced Materials Series, working group member of the technology integration of TD1003, European Cooperation in Science and Technology and a founder member of Advanced Materials World Congress, Indian Materials Congress, famous international events of materials science and engineering. Prof. Tiwari is receipt of high-status 'The Nano Award', 'Innovation in Materials Science Award' and 'Advanced Materials Medal'.
Prof. Enrico Traversa
Prof. Enrico Traversa in 1986 got his “Laurea” (Italian Doctoral Degree), Summa cum Laude, in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rome La Sapienza. From March 2013 he joined the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) as Professor of Materials Science and Engineering. From April 2012, he is the Director of the Department of Fuel Cell Research at the International Center for Renewable Energy, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He joined the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 1988, where he is since 2000 a Professor of Materials Science and Technology, now on leave of absence. In the same University, from 2001 to 2008 he was the Director of the PhD Course of Materials for Health, Environment and Energy. From January 2009 to March 2012, he was a Principal Investigator at the International Research Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA) at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan, leading a unit on Sustainability Materials. Since 2005 he is Graduate Faculty at the University of Florida, USA, and in 2010-2012 he was Adjunct Professor at Waseda University and at the University of Tokyo, Japan.
His research interests are in nanostructured materials for environment, energy, and healthcare, with special attention to sustainable development. He is an author of more than 500 scientific papers (more than 330 of them published in refereed international journals) and 16 patents, and edited 28 books and special issues on journals. He is listed in the Essential Science Indicators/Web of Science as a highly cited researcher, both in the Materials Science and Engineering categories, and his h-index is 46.
Elected in 2007 in the World Academy of Ceramics, he was also elected in the Advisory Board (2010-2014). In 2011 he was recipient of the Ross Coffin Purdy Award of the American Ceramic Society for the best paper on ceramics published in 2010. Recipient in 2011 of a “1000 Talent” Scholarship from the Government of China. Elected Fellow of the Electrochemical Society in 2013. He is Past Chair of the High Temperature Materials Division of the Electrochemical Society. From 2003 to 2009, he was Member of the International Relations Committee of the Materials Research Society. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Materials for Renewable and Sustainable Energy and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Nanoparticle Research. He is one of the Volume Organizers of MRS Bulletin for 2014.
Prof. Suresh Valiyaveettil
Prof. Suresh.’s group at the National University of Singapore is interested in developing functional materials for various applications. Ongoing projects involve:
i) Synthesis of conjugated oligomers and polymers
ii) Functionalization of natural polymers (e.g. cellulose)
iii) Developing new adsorbent materials (e.g. polymers, nanocarbon, metal oxides, biomembranes) for water purification.
iv) Synthesis and characterization of novel nanomaterials
v) Safety and toxicity of metallic nanoparticles
vi) Investigation of biomimetic synthesis of hard tissues (e.g. eggshells, seashells)
vii) Materials for solar cells
His group has published more than 150 papers in various refereed international journals with a total citation of 3598 (Average citations per paper: 18.08, h-index: 31). In addition, about 24 students completed their PhD, 11 students graduated with MSc degrees and more than 100 students finished their final year projects from his group in NUS. One of his key strength is providing quality research experience and training to young talented students.
