Electrical Conductive Fiber - Looking for
Partners for a Horizon 2020 project
A group of
R&D institutions from Europe is looking for further partners which
are invited to participate - academic as well as industrial.
State of the Art:
- Metal coatings via PVD (physical vapour
deposition) on rovings or textiles
Drawbacks:
- Modern textiles consist of fibre bundles
(rovings) with a high number of single filaments. Only the outer
surface of the textile is coated and the inner rovings and filaments
are uncoated. An extremely inhomogeneous distribution of the layer
thickness will result.
- In contrast to the textiles the
coatability of rovings is better but the uniformity issues regarding
the inner filaments remain.
- A subsequent processing of rovings for
the manufacture of textiles can damage the layer due to mechanical
loads.
Project Idea - well beyond State of the Art:
- Application of ALD (atomic layer
deposition) technology for the deposition of electrically conductive
(and transparent) layers on rovings or textiles for the integration of
more functions in textiles.
- Fabrication of (mixed) oxides, e.g. ZnO
/ Al2O3 for formation of TCO (transparent conductive oxides) like ZnO:Al
- Layers with a thickness up to 100 nm
covering each single filament homogeneously.
- Deposition temperature below 200 °C
(e.g. Al2O3: RT possible; ZnO: 120 - 200°C)
Achievements:
We can offer
a deposition technology which could be suitable to deposit electrical
conductive layers on textile fibers. Regarding the requested issue we
have successfully addressed following problems which are similar:
Deposition of approx. 30 nm alumina on carbon fiber-based 3D-textile
preforms
Resulting layers on 3D-textile preforms are homogeneous and conformal
to all fibre bundles and filament
Deposition of transparent conductive layers (TCO) on float glass
substrates
TCO material is ZnO:Al
Eelectrical resistance is 14 Ohm/sqr. @ approx. 50 nm layer thickness
Deposition temperature 150 °C
The deposition
technology is an adapted atomic layer deposition (ALD). In principle
the deposition of a TCO layer can be done also at lower temperatures
than 150 °C. But this requires further investigations of the process
and the coatings at lower process temperatures. This development can be
done according to the demands of the client.

Zusammenfassung:
Seit
2011 fertigt die MBFZ toolcraft GmbH mit dem Verfahren des
Metall-Laserschmelzens Präzisionsbau-teile vom Prototyp bis zur
Kleinstserie für unterschiedliche Branchen, zum Beispiel für den
Motorsport, die Luft- und Raumfahrt, für Defence & Security,
Druckguss, usw.
Der Vortrag zeigt, welche Vorteile und Chancen das
Metall-Laserschmelzen besitzt und wo die Grenzen und Nachteile liegen.
Dabei wird insbesondere auf Materialien eingegangen, bei denen
toolcraft bereits Expertise aufgebaut hat, und erläutert, welcher
konkrete Nutzen hinter den einzelnen Materialien im Hin-blick auf das
Verfahren und das Anwendungsgebiet liegt. In dem Vortrag wird die
komplette Prozesskette von der Zeichnung bis zum qualifizierten
Endprodukt behandelt.
Ergänzend zu dem Vortrag der MBFZ toolcraft GmbH präsentiert im
Anschluss Herr Dr. Logvinov von der Neue Materialien Bayreuth GmbH in
einem Kurzvortrag die aktuellen Aktivitäten und Ent-wicklungen im
Bereich Generative Fertigung. Nach den Vorträgen besteht die
Möglichkeit, an einer kurzen Besichtigung der NMB-Anlagentechnik
teilzunehmen.

Die Referenten der MBFZ toolcraft GmbH:
- Herr
Hauck hat nach seiner Hochschulreife eine Ausbildung zum
Werkzeugmechaniker (Fachrichtung Formentechnik) und Weiterbildungen zum
staatlich geprüften Maschinenbautechniker und technischem Betriebswirt
absolviert. Er ist seit 2012 Geschäftsführer der MBFZ toolcraft GmbH.
- Herr
Stengel hat an der TH Nürnberg ein duales Bachelor-Studium -
Bankkaufmann und Betriebswirt-schaftslehre absolviert. Er ist seit 2013
für das Unternehmen tätig.
2014 gewann
die MBFZ toolcraft GmbH den Bayerischen Gründerpreis in der Rubrik
„Aufsteiger“.

"Stichworte" im Titel und in der Zusammenfassung enthalten, finden Sie
ganz einfach Technologien und Produkte, die zum Geschäftsmodell Ihres

Die Patente liegen im Volltext vor und sind vollständig indexiert, so
dass die Sammlung nach beliebigen Begriffen durchsucht werden kann. Die
Verwendung von logischen Operatoren ("AND", "+", "OR", "NOT", "-"),
Wildcards ("?", "*") und Ähnlichkeitssuche ("~", findet z. B. bei
Eingabe von "roa~" neben "roam" auch "foam") ist möglich.
Die mitgelieferte Suchsoftware EasyPatentFinder liefert nach der
Eingabe von Suchbegriffen nicht nur eine Ergebnisliste (Nummer 1 oben
in der Abbildung), sondern
zusätzlich
- Eine
Sortierung der Suchergebnisse nach Kategorien, die nicht fest
vorgegeben sind, sondern zum Zeitpunkt der Suche automatisch erstellt
werden, also eine Unterstruktur zu den eingegebenen Begriffen bilden
(2),
- Eine
grafische Darstellung der Anteile der Kategorien am Gesamtergebnis
(4,5), sowie
- Eine
grafische Darstellung der thematischen Verknüpfung der Kategorien
untereinander (3).
Die Benutzung von
EasyPatentfinder ist in einer halben Stunde erlernt. Der Zeitvorteil
durch die Benutzung beträgt mindestens 95%; innerhalb eines halben

Entwicklungspartnerschaft, Vetriebspartnerschaft, Test neuer
Anwendungen, etc.),
- ein Bild, sofern verfügbar (bei
Angeboten).
